AUNTY DEVELOPMENT'S NURSERY RHYMES
Kirk and Todd went up the hill
To fetch a lake of water
None was found
no well in the ground
So they went tumbling homeward.
***
Little Boy Green, come play your drum
There's a dam on the meadow
The lakes are all scum
Where are the developers
who ruined the land?
They've gone down the mountain
As fast as they can.
***
Todd, Todd, the developer's son
Trashed the mountain,
And away did run.
The only tune that he could play,
Sell those timeshares, and skedaddle away.
***
We had a lovely mountain, not much would it grow,
A forest full of pine trees, and quite of lot of snow
The developers and bulldozers came and plowed it down,
Built parking lots and timeshares
And then went back to town.
